Runic Yggdrasil Amulet
A Tree of Life necklace with Viking Futhark Rune inscriptions along the outer ring of the pendant.
Viking Runes refer to the 24 characters of the Runic alphabet that was used by various Germanic and Celtic communities prior to the development of the Latin alphabet. The Runic alphabet is commonly referred Elder Futhark because the first six runes spell out ‘Futhark’ in the English alphabet. On the other hand, the Tree of Life, also known as Yggdrasil, is a perpetually green tree whose branches spread out into the heavens, holding the nine realms of Norse mythology in place. In the middle of the tree is Asgard, the realm where all gods and goddesses of Norse mythology live.
