A Rune pendant with a Valknut symbol in the middle.
Norse Jewelry / Nordic Pendant Necklace
The Norse Vikings made the Runic alphabet to aid them in written communication. The alphabet is commonly referred to as the Elder Futhark and was believed to be sacred text from the gods. The Valknut, on the other hand, is a symbol of the Slain Warrior; the first part of the world ‘Valr’ translates to Slain and the second part ‘Knut’ translates to Warrior. The symbol was found on graves of fallen warriors and was a symbol of honor and good-bidding.
