A Helm of Awe, Ægishjálmr, ring.
The Helm of Awe was a symbol of protection that was mostly drawn by women on their foreheads, right between their eyes, as a symbol of protection. The symbol was drawn in saliva or blood to increase its effectiveness. The Helm of Awe was also inscribed in helmets by warriors and was believed to give an upper hand to the wearer, keeping him safe from harm.
